Out and About in Beacon Hill, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

It is likely impossible to take a unique photo of the cobblestone Acorn Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston so here's the classic perspective you've probably seen before.

I wonder if the residents got together and decided who would get to put up the lone American flag that flies along the street?

Elsewhere, this side garden was an explosion of color heralding spring.

Most people in this mostly residential brick-townhouse-very-developed-area, instead of big gardens, have to settle for......

....window boxes and small planters - and they do so to beautiful effect.

The brick sidewalks are not just about flowers. This local artist set up his easel and is painting a version of Boston hundreds of years ago.  I wonder how much work he gets done with people like me constantly interrupting him to chat or take a picture?

Beacon Hill is one of the many interesting and historic neighborhoods in Boston - a world-class city in the northeastern area of the United States.

    1. I mostly use Sony point-and-shoot cameras except for occasional smartphone images. Currently, the Sony DSC-WX500. I sometimes use a Sony DSC-RX100-M2 (which has a much larger sensor) for interior theater images. My criteria is and has always been: the camera must fit in my pocket.
