Burial Hill, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

While I hate to see graffiti mostly anywhere, at least this one was correctly written. It is one of my pet peeves that many people misuse "you're" and "your." This graffiti was scrawled on top of a trash can on Burial Hill in downtown Plymouth.  It is remarkable that the writer managed to correctly use the contraction, "you're,"  since he/she is otherwise a low-life who defaces hallowed ground.

This panorama is from atop Burial Hill in downtown Plymouth  (click on it to view in full width).  Downtown is in the middle distance and the harbor and Cape Cod Bay in the far distance. When the leaves come out there is neither much horizon nor town visible.

  1. What a great image! I am teaching my American Lit students (in TN) about Winslow/ Bradford this week & wanted a broader image of Burial Hill!
